Scott Summers, known as Cyclops, is a founding member and long-time leader of the X-Men. Born with the mutant ability to emit powerful optic blasts from his eyes, Scott cannot control this power without special ruby quartz lenses or a visor.
His origin story involves surviving a plane crash as a child, losing his parents, and being separated from his brother Alex (Havok). He was raised in an orphanage before being discovered by Professor Charles Xavier and recruited to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
